Safety Manager | General Construction

Professional Safety Solutions, LLC (ProSafe) is hiring an experienced Field Safety Advisor to support complex general construction and automation projects. This role combines on-site leadership with consultative expertise, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operations in high-risk, fast-paced environments.

Health and Safety Professionals at ProSafe serve in a dual role — operating as both consultants and field leaders. The initial objective is to provide expert guidance, motivation, and support to operations management and employees at all levels. In addition, our Safety Professionals are hands-on partners, actively delivering safety programs, field training, and compliance oversight to build a world-class safety culture.

Required Certifications
CHST (Construction Health & Safety Technician)
OSHA 30-Hour (Construction or General Industry)
First Aid / CPR / AED
Valid Driver’s License

Preferred Certifications & Skills
CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or other advanced designation.
OSHA 500 / 501 – Train-the-Trainer.
Experience in automation, material handling systems, conveyor or baggage systems.
Proficiency in safety software, incident tracking tools, and data reporting.

Our Expectations

Key Responsibilities

Implement, promote, and maintain the Contractor Site Safety Plan in accordance with client requirements.

Conduct safety inductions for all contractor and subcontracted site staff.

Ensure all subcontracted staff are properly inducted into the customer’s safety plan.

Execute daily and weekly safety inspections, document findings, and coordinate corrective actions.

Verify subcontractors possess required permits to work; assist in obtaining and maintaining these permits.

Lead and document daily toolbox talks; ensure attendance is recorded and filed.

Organize and facilitate weekly safety discussions for site teams.

Collect and report worked hours for subcontracted personnel; generate monthly summaries.

Investigate and report incidents, near misses, and safety observations; lead root cause analyses and implement corrective measures.

Assist in developing Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and Work Method Statements (WMS).

Participate in customer safety meetings and contribute to ongoing safety program execution.

Oversee site drug and alcohol testing programs (if applicable).

Promote continuous improvement through audits, lessons learned, and safety innovation.


Job Details

Job Duration:

4 to 5 Months

Compensation:

$47 to $50 per hour

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications (Must Meet One of the Following)

Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety and at least three (3) years of safety experience.

Option 2: A board-certified safety credential from a nationally recognized organization (e.g., CSP, CIH, ASP, CHST) and at least five (5) years of full-time construction safety management experience.

Option 3: A current OSHA 500 certification and at least six (6) years of full-time construction safety management experience.


Additional Qualifications

Deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines.

OSHA 10 and 30-Hour certification.

Proven ability to produce reports and develop safety policies.

Strong knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment methods.

Excellent organizational and motivational skills.

Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.

Demonstrated ability to identify potential exposures and lead implementation of corrective actions.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety reporting systems.

Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to train and coach others effectively.

High school diploma required; technical degree preferred.
