Site Safety Representative | Thacker Pass Project

Professional Safety Solutions, LLC is seeking an experienced Site Safety Representative to support a large Utility Contractor on the Thacker Pass Lithium Mine Project in northern Nevada. This is a large-scale, high-profile utility construction project — the largest lithium mine in the United States — involving the construction of a 115 kV switchyard, an adjacent 115 kV substation, and a 7-mile 35 kV distribution line.

Health and Safety Professionals at ProSafe serve in a dual role: the initial objective is to operate in a consultative capacity by providing expert guidance, coaching, and motivation to operations management and employees at all levels. In addition, our professionals are expected to be hands-on partners in delivering safety initiatives and programs designed to cultivate a strong safety culture on site.

Duration: January 2026 – October 2026
Pay Rate: $50 to $55/hour
Per Diem: $150/day (7 days/week)
Vehicle: Provided

Responsibilities
Conduct daily safety inspections and field observations. Facilitate toolbox talks, training sessions, and weekly safety meetings. Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, site-specific safety procedures, and all applicable regulations. Investigate and document incidents, communicate corrective actions, and maintain organized safety documentation. Collaborate closely with construction management and field teams to uphold site safety excellence.

Job Qualifications
Qualifications
CUSP certification required. Minimum 5+ years of safety experience in heavy civil, utility, or power infrastructure construction. Experience with switchyards, substations, or transmission/distribution projects strongly preferred. Ability to communicate effectively and lead by example in a dynamic field environment. Must meet project-specific background and safety requirements.
